Caged: TWO new videos!
Ok, sweet! Here are TWO videos from my new course on the CAGED system that comes out on TUESDAY, JUNE 22.
This is a DVD course that will teach you EVERYTHING you need to know about CAGED chord system.
This is probably one THE most important things you can learn as a guitarist. Because it can literally increase the number of chords you can play by 500%. (Because once you understand how it works, you can play each chord FIVE different ways… and that’s just the MAJOR chords!).
There will be a FAT-DADDY discount for the first few people as well as some AWESOME fast-mover bonuses.
So, check these two videos out and mark Tuesday, June 22 down on your calendar!
Cheers,
Dan Denley
Oh yeah… plesae leave me a comment. I love hearing from you!

I love your videos. I don’t have enough money to buy your course and support you, but I can honestly say that the free videos I’ve seen from you, as a guitarist, have made me better. Especially the exercises. You have nothing but my respect Mr. Denley. Thank you.

Barre chords and I don’t get along, although they’re a necessary evil for us fiddlers.
June 18th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Dan, one more thing: What kind of guitar are you playing here? It’s lovely. I just noticed all of the colored dots on the fretboard, too. Your own addition I presume?
June 18th, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Dan, You do a fine job teaching. I wish I could afford all of your lessons but since I live on disability I can’t afford everything so I keep mudeling along with the courses I have.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks,
Dunc.

great videos once again!
since i’m unemployed & it’s my birthday the 25th (35!), and since i caught your spelling error (the word Because at the end of the third paragraph
(but being 30+, i will say my bad for the emoticon- they really shouldn’t be used by anyone over 30!), instead of a FAT DADDY discount how about a FREE DADDY discount!
had to try- i know you’re not an english teacher (although you could be, but i’m not!), but you are one hell of a guitar teacher- that’s for sure!
thanks for the free videos and keep up the great work!

June 18th, 2010 at 3:25 pm
I am interested in knowing what are the many differtent colored dots that seem to be on your neck of you guitar? Am I just seeing things that aren’t there? Please share if I am out of my mind, need an eye exam or……

Fine job Dan!!! Good stuff on CAGED!!!

Hi Dan
I listened to both video’s , and they will certainly fill in the missing links , so to speak , for a lot of people.
If the rest of the course follows suite them it will be one for the collection , as long as its reasonably priced will give a learner a easier understanding to the enjoyment in playing the guitar.
As usual Dan youv’e raised the bar within musical tuition which will be appreciated by mant for years to come.
Regards
Ray Edgington

Currently, I’m busy working through the Total Chord Mastery course. I really appreciate your including me in on these videos, although I’m already familiar with the CAGED system. I am interested in the guitar you use in your videos - these two and the courses. I didn’t notice it previously, but -in the first of the two videos you posted here you mentioned that you were getting string buzz as indicated by the guitar - I focused on the neck of the guitar after you side comment and realized that there were a lot of different colored dots on each of the frets. I couldn’t tell if they were scale patterns, but in the video they almost looked like electronic lights embedded in the neck. So, I’m curious about the guitar. I’d really like to know what kind of guitar it is. At first, I thought it was a modified guitar. I thought it might be a Carvin body (it looked like one of mine) with another brand of neck. Besides the videos, what do you use the guitar for? Is the neck electronic? What purpose does it serve? Someone in the Total Chord Mastery course asked about the type of guitar Dan used, but I didn’t get why they were interested. Owning both the original Robot and Dark Fire Gibson Les Pauls, I’m always looking for and willing to try new innovative guitars to add to my older, traditional models.

Thank you Dan for the C.A.G.E.D. Chord system demo. Nice to see all the cowboy chord forms being useful in other locations. I am sure most people never thought to use those open chords in a bar form. Nice to see how it works. Time for me to rethink a few things.

Thanks very much Dan. I must say that your method of teaching is great as it sets apart the mystery from the apparent which means that you go right to the gravy and that allows us amateurs to find our path. Thanks. I am still getting your course but financial times are still tough. Thanks again.

Peace.

Thanks, Ken

Hi Dan I have your Total Chord Mastery and a number of other courses, but have never heard mention, maybe I missed it, or it never registered, or it is taken for granted, the necessity of knowing all the notes on the fretboard at a glance. All your information related to the chords, structure, root, third, 5th, seventh, 9th etc., is nice when listening to someone explain all this valuable information who knows the material inside out but what I would really like to know what the bottom line knowledge requirement is: is it absolutley necessary to fluently identify every note on the fretboard by name and notation on the stave? Is it necessary to memorize and know what the 3rd, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th etc. is of every note on the scale by rote. I have heard pros and cons but the more I see in yours and other instruction it seems that in order to understand this information one needs to have all this information at ones fingertips. Can you put this into perspective once and for all. What is it that one absolutely needs to know to properly understand your lessons, the music theory, and chord structure. Thank you in advance for your help. Sincerely, Wolfgang Krol

I have a lot of your stuff and this one looks like some good material. I hope it is more than just sliding up the open shord shapes on the fretboard. Also, like some others I was wondering what the colored dots are for on the fretboard. Great stuff Dan!

Just finished watching the vids. Very simple and clear. I quickly applied points you shared. I’m very comfortable with the open chords and learning the forms and transposing them took only minutes. Of course with practice I’ll remember them and where they are on the fretboard. I couldn’t pass up on ordering. Now, if only I can order the 2 “Guitar Guru Secrets” DVDs without the monthly internet access.

On St. Patricks Day of 2007 I broke my neck due to a car accident. I broke the C2,C3,C4,C5,C6, and C7. I broke 2 bones in my back also, towards the upper half. Three ribs were broken off my spine, which punctured one of my lungs. My heart was bruised and my leg was ripped open by the glass from the windshield. Miraculously, right after i came to I didn’t think twice about what my injuries were.. I heard my cousin meagen scream my name and I jumped right up and ran to her and tried to lift the truck off her. Not aware of my injuries and honestly not caring at that point. I was only in the hospital for a week, I had halo surgery to fix my neck. I had no numbness what so ever. Wore the halo for 3 months and that was it. Consider myself lucky? Very. I feel so blessed that god was there with me protecting me and my familly and friends.
