FREAK! (Video)
I was helping my son find a video of Solfeggietto by C.P.E. Bach (one of J.S. Bach’s sons) because he’s learning it on piano. And I stumbled on this video.
This guy took the piece which is written for keyboard and plays it on the guitar. This is AMAZING! Check it out…
Cheers,
Dan Denley
P.S. I’m releasing a NEW version of my Lead Guitar Secrets course very soon. If want to learn to shred like the dude above, then you’ll definitely want to check it out. I’ll be releasing some killer videos from that course very soon. So, check your inbox often.

I cannot ever see myself playing that fast. I know it is about getting your brain “out of the way” to some respect and obviously it can be done, cause we’re watching it, but I just don’t see myself being able to accomplish that.

Yes, I believe he’s playing for real, but I don’t think he’s playing it in “real time”. I think he’s played it slowed down and then brought it up to real time speed. Nice effect though.

The guy is great I tell you. The fingers are just jacked up, quick on the strings and you can name it. I am interested in your lead guitar secrets.

Ditto to Charlie’s blurb: I can buy the left hand action, but the re-uptakes on the right with a pic really indicates that this is a doctored clip.

PS: If this kid were that good, wouldn’t he already be on Letterman or Tonight Show (Like Yitzhak Perlman on Ed Sullivan)? Someone with chops that good would not be anonymous! THAT is a dead giveaway that it’s a fake.

Well even if it is real, which I also doubt, it doesn’t sound very musical to me, so what is the point????? it is no more pleasant, although perhaps more skilful than playing a glissandro on the piano with my thumb instead of fingers. However it might be useful to have the capacity to play that fast in certain very limited circumstances. I agree that if it were real he would most certainly have appeared on some show or other by now.
