3 Critical Chords (video from Guitar Guru Secrets)

Monday, August 31st, 2009

Ok, we’re coming down to the wire! Guitar Guru Secrets is scheduled for public release THIS Thursday, Sept 3 at 11:00AM EST (UTC - 5). This is going to be THE course for the beginner guitarist. You’re going to learn the absolute most critical techniques that you must know as a beginner. And we’re going get to you playing songs fast!

The biggest advantage of this course is that it’s truly a STEP-BY-STEP approach. Unlike 99% of other courses that are really just a bunch of random lessons thrown together, this course is a comprehensive approach to learning guitar.

And I also wanted this course to be VERY affordable. Especially because if you’re just trying to get the basics, you don’t want to spend a fortune, right? And private lessons can get EXPENSIVE. So, I think you’re going to be very pleased at the cost of this course…

I promise to let you know the exact price BEFORE Thursday (Sept 3). So, check out this video on minor chords. It’s from DVD 1 of Guitar Guru Secrets. Let me know what you think by posting your comment below!

Guitar Guru Secrets: A step-by-step course for beginners

Wednesday, August 26th, 2009

Folks have been asking me for this for a LONG time. And I finally got around to putting the whole thing togther… A step-by-step approach for beginner guitarists. It’s called, “Guitar Guru Secrets.” And we’re planning to go live with the web site on Thursday, Sept 3rd, 2009.

I’m going to be releasing several videos from the course over the next few days. So watch your email inbox. Ok?

I gotta run my kids to piano lesson. Talk soon.

Cheers,

Dan Denley

NEW! Choose your DVD (acoustic)

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009

If you’re ready to skyrocket your acoustic guitar playing, then “Listen up!” This is for YOU…

Until now, the DVDs from my Acoustic Guitar Secrets course have only been available as a complete package (including all five DVDs, jam tracks and book). And for some folks the cost of the BIG course is a little pricey ($129+ shipping). But that’s about to change …

IMPORTANT DATE: Thursday, Aug 20 at 5:00PM EST

Starting this Thursday, you’ll get the chance to grab the three most popular DVDs from my Acoustic Guitar Secrets course individually (or as a bundle). Then, if you decide that you want to get the remaining DVDs later, you can easily upgrade to the full version. This will allow you to get the specific training that you want at without having to order the complete course.

Here’s what each acoustic DVD covers

  • DVD 2: Acoustic strumming patterns & barre chords
  • DVD 3: Chord progressions, fills & embellishment
  • DVD 4: Arpeggios & intro to finger-style

BUT… initial quantities are limited to 250. WAIT! I’m sure your “B.S. ometer” is probably going, “Ding! Ding! Ding!” But it’s true.

We’ve never done anything like this before, so we only had a small number of DVDs created to test if this is something that my students want. That’s why there are only 250 available. After these are gone, it’ll take about 3-4 weeks to get new ones in. So, if you’re interested you should jump on board THIS Thursday, Aug 20 at 5:00PM EST.

THE PRICE: I’m not 100% sure. But I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised. :-) Check your email early on Thursday for details.

Finally… Here’s a video lesson on finger-picking basics from DVD 4.

Enjoy!

NOTE: the pdf above gives you two pages directly from the Acoustic Guitar Secrets book. However, because we had to shorten the video for the web, only Figure 97 (Basic Fingerpicking Pattern, Ex. 1) and Figure 110 (Fingerpicking pattern: Descending, Ex. 1). You should definitely play the other examples on your own.
