Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 Contest Winners!

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

Sorry for the delay! I took a little mini-vacation. I had to get away for a while. Did some fishing and relaxed a bit.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know about the winners of the Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 contest… This was really hard because there were over 600 contest entries! And there were some really good ones. I want to personally thank everyone who entered. I really appreciate taking your time to post your thoughtful contest entry.

The three winners were chosen based on how well they answered the questions of, “Why you want this course?” and “How to you think it will improve your playing?”

Here are the winners:

  • David Wright
  • Gareth Ackerman
  • Simba Mai

(You can read their winning posts here).

Thank you for making the relaunch of Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 a huge success. Several hundred courses were snapped up as soon as the course became available. There are still a few fast-mover bonuses available.  And the introductory for price is guaranteed until Friday, July 24. So, if you’re interested in really learning the blues, you should definitely owe it to yourself to grab a copy of this massive, 10-disk course.

Cheers,

Dan Denley

P.S. We recently asked Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 owners to rate the course… 52% gave the course the highest possible rating - five out of five stars! (And 29% gave it four out of five). It has one of the lowest return rates of any of my courses (less than 3%). And, it comes with a 1-year money-back guarantee. So, CLICK HERE to check it out because I’d hate for you to kick yourself when the price goes up. (And it will eventually!)

How to solo with just three strings!

Wednesday, July 15th, 2009

My Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 is a logical, step-by-step course with 9 DVDs (over 10hours of video) that takes you by the hand from blues beginner t0 blues shredder

I’ve got a killer video for you today (see below). But first I want to answer a few questions that I’ve gotten…

  • “Is this for the beginner?” It’s for the beginner blues guitarist, but its’ not for the absolute beginner. It assumes you have some basic skills — you can play at least a few chords and you know some riffs and licks.
  • “Is it downloadable or online?” No. This is a physical course (9DVDs, 1 CD, 185 book) that will be shipped to via UPS ground (U.S.) or USPS International Airmail.
  • “What style of blues will I learn?” The course doesn’t focus on one particular style (like Chicago or Texas). Instead, it’s more of an complete survey of various blues guitar techniques. It starts with basic 12-bar blues songs forms. Then, I introduce new chords (like dominants and 9ths). Then you’ll learn different rhythmic patterns like swing time, shuffle and 6/8. The next DVDs teach you all the blues scales you need know followed by 50 must-know blues licks. Next you’ll learn how to play those licks over the jam tracks. Finally, you’ll be creating full-blow blues leads from scratch. DVD9 is all about acoustic blues. You’ll learn nine songs in various blues styles (fingerpicking, delta, country, ragtime, etc).

Here’s a video from DVD 4 of Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 which is about the “Three String Box Positions.” These are based scale-patterns that come directly from the pentatonic minor scale. The difference is that you’ll only be using the top three strings: E, B, G.

Enjoy!
