Acoustic Blues Video
Things are pretty crazy around here right now. The phone is already ringing off the hook. And my staff and I are SWAMPED. Anyway, here a pic of the complete, Blues Guitar Secrets 2.0 course…
Here’s a new video from DVD 9 (Acoustic Blues Guitar):
We’ve been flooded with emails and calls lately because people are worried that the course is going to sell out again like it did when it was first released to the public. We had to close the web site and stock taking orders for six months!
The #1 concern is that some people can’t be in front of their computer early on Thursday morning. They’re worried that they won’t be one of the first to order and they won’t get the fast mover bonuses. We’ll everything is on a first-come, first-served basis. But I think if you’re able get the link early enough, you should be fine.
Remember — the special discount link will be emailed to you early on Thursday morning! So keep an eye out for it!
Cheers!
Dan Denley
P.S. The letters, “P, I, M, A” represent your fingers on your picking hand. P = thumb, I = index, M = middle, and A = ring finger. That’s the way fingerstyle is notated.

Cool! I’m really glad you like this song. It’s sounds easier than it really is. It takes a while to develop the independence you need on your thumb (picking hand).
Here’s a tip: Watch my picking hand.
Notice that I’m using my pinky to “anchor” to the rosette next to the sound hole.
That’s an IMPORTANT tip.
If you keep that pinky anchored down (vs. “floating in air”) then it’ll be a LOT easier to get your other fingers on the right strings at the right time.
Hope that helps!

Hi Dan. Being in the uk, the time references are a little confusing. is 11:00 am Eastern, 15;00 or 16:00 GMT or London time ?
Graham - I should have said, 11:00AM EST (Eastern Standard Time).
BTW: here’s a cool website that will help you see the different time zones all over the world…

Hi Dan
I am a beginner AGE 74.
I have good timing and know rythm when I hear it, but when I try to play country guitar/songs on my acustic guitar (I dont read music)I am having a problem learning HOW to find the right notes to play them for a tune (TO PICK THE SONG NOTES) string by string notes,(hope you understand what I am trying to say (been wanting to learn for many years)can you send me something to try? If need be after I try, I would be glad to purchase a lesons video.
Thank you if you have any sugestions and maybe a trial way to teach me.
I am willing to learn, but dont know how; my friends that play and sing cant/wont teach, your a good teacher,I can be your challange, are you game to try?
Bet there is many moe like me out there.
PS.Been watching you for a couple of years now, make it more simple and you will get a great audiance.

Great vidio, right now I am not into fingerpicking, have done some but not really applied a lot of time to getting it down. To many priorities in my playing now. Trying not to confuse myself to much. Of course you should know I am a beginner.
As far as time to write, anytine at all for me, I am retired and right now my computer is in my music room/bedroom. We are in the process of starting to build a new house so are sort of tight now staying with my daughter.

My wife asked me what I want for Christmas and your course is at the top of my list, but I need to know how much. No presure

December 7th, 2008 at 12:39 pm
Hey Dan,
Love the video of that country rag, but it looks a little complicated for me, I have the lead guitar secrets course and I even bought a new Fender Strat to learn on, which I’m lovin. I think 10:00 of 11:00 am EST would be fine to release your course, I’m at my computer during those hours of the morning. I’d love to order the course but was wondering if it was more of an acoustic based course?
Could I use the electric for these concepts as this is the only instrument I own?
December 7th, 2008 at 2:08 pm
