New “Spy Photo” Released!
Hey folks,
Well, yesterday I *finally* did it. I got in my car and drove to FedEx and put 12 master disks in the mail to my DVD/CD replication company. Man, what a relief! I’ve been secretly working on this project for a LONG time now. And yesterday, I officially got the money off my back. It’s finished!
This is my biggest course yet: 8 DVDs, 2 Audio CDs and 2 CD-ROMs. It’s HUGE. There’s about 10 hours of total video and 43 full-band jam tracks (recorded with live instruments).
The entire course is dedicated to CHORDS and how to use them in your songs, riffs and licks. I’m calling it
the “Ultimate Guide To Chords.”
It’s going to be released next month. Not sure exactly when. My wife is due the 3rd week of July. So, unfortunately, I’ll have to work around the baby’s schedule.
Here’s a picture of the new course. (Obviously, these are the masters, so there’s no artwork… but there will be!)
The only thing missing from the picture is the workbook. Still working on it.
We’re going to be sharing a TON of video lessons form the course. Look for the first one very soon.
Please post your comments below!
Cheers!

Hey Dan, congrats on the new course!
Just gotta ask a question…you have a typo up there in your first paragraph, or is it a Freudian slip?
Peace
June 17th, 2008 at 11:27 am
Exciting! I just hope I can afford it while starting up a new business.
June 17th, 2008 at 11:41 am
What are you naming this one, what is the flavor? (i.e.lead, acoustics, blues etc…..) Looking forward to checking it out.
P.S. What typo, I missed it?
June 17th, 2008 at 12:06 pm
Dear Dan:
How exciting, new baby and new course!! Congratulations on both. Look forward to it. Jane
June 17th, 2008 at 12:16 pm

Looks great Dan! Congrats also on the new bamdino, hope all goes well! I’m a drummer turned guitarist so, I naturally fell into a Rythm Guitar role. So, I’m extremely interested in this course on Chords. Keep the info coming please

Hey Dan,
Thats an excellent news.
Looking forward to all the exciting material.
Take care of the baby. We’ll wait for the course
June 17th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
Hi Dan,
Congrats on the new arrival! The bambino, I mean. Hope all goes well. Starting out as a drummer turned guitarist I naturally fell into a Rythm Guitarist role quite easily. So, I’m very interested in your new course focused on chord work! I have AGS as well as BGS and found them extremely helpful in breaking out of the Rythm Guitar role but, this new course sounds like it’s right up my alley! Looking forward to more ifo as it becomes available. Thanks.

Good luck with your new course Dan, I know it will be tops, as are your other ones, also with the new papoose-Bob G, aka rufus
June 17th, 2008 at 1:20 pm
Hi Dan,
Great news - all the best to you and the family on the pending addition. Since chords are a huge part of knowing what and how to play and compose I am sure this new course will be very helpful to many of us.

June 17th, 2008 at 2:10 pm
Wow! Thanks for all the incredible feedback - I luv you guys (and gals).
Appreciate all the congrats on the new addition to the family. Will let you know when SHE arrives.
Ha ha ha! That’s hilarious. I meant to say “monkey off my back” but accidentally typed, “money.” Funny thing is, it was BOTH.
The DVD manufacturer requires 100% up-front. And I had to send the check WITH the masters. Also, being self-employed with no maternity insurance (got health, just not maternity) I’ve got to pay my wife’s doctor in cash. So, yah, it was definitely on my mind. But I ain’t complaining. I’m very blessed.
Take care and thanks again to you all.
Cheers,
Dan Denley

Great to hear about the completion of the new course and that it targeted chords. Looking forward to seeing the content and the great price break you will be offering…or maybe not with that little one on the way.
Congratulations. Since I am part of the “over the hill” gang and have just retired, I should have time to enjoy all of the course.
Enjoy the cries in the night,

hey Dan how are you i have a question, Do you have your course in spanish? or the course have subtitles?
June 17th, 2008 at 3:18 pm
Nice one Dan, I look forward to hearing more about it. I know the basics of chords but the complex stuff, extensions, dominant whatever 17th, minor this, major diminished with the added left nostril etc leave me confused as to when to use them and where to put my slimist nose picker. I expect you have got that covered.
Regards,
John

Congratulations on the pending addition to your family! How many does that make for you and your wife? The bigger the family, the more critics (and bosses) you have….based on my own experience, that is!! Of course we wouldn’t have it any other way, would we? My world revolved around my three sons….and now my grandchildren have taken control!! Wish only the best for you and your family. As your audience grows, so will your course be improved. In this manner we all receive a share of your happiness. God blesses in many ways. Cheers,
Chuck

My first purchase was “Blues Guitar Secrets”. I am really enjoying it alot. I need a lot more work on my strumming/rythym hand.
Will this new course have notations for strumming patterns for the chord progressions?
Will it be affordable?
I am looking forward to it, keep me posted
Congrats in advance of the birth of your child!
Thanks for everything,
Chuck

Hey Dan,
First of all, I wish all the best to you and your wife on your (soon) arrival. You seem to me to be an excellent teacher, with an encouraging demeanour, and I’m sure that you will be a great father (if you aren’t already). Thank you for your insight and instruction on learning the guitar.
I’m a carpenter with rough hands, but I’ve always (since childhood) loved the sound of beautiful guitar music! I am a novice, but with great dreams.
One vision of mine is,,, to be on the banks of a calm tropical beach, the soft lap of the waves meeting the shore, while the fire throws a gentle glow,,. My sweet princess basking in the full moon, looking as beautiful as an angel could ever be,,,
then I play a Spanish tune on the guitar that will make her heart meld into mine.
If I could ever express this “dream”, I would believe that I actually ACCOMPLISHED something in my life!
I don’t mean to be long winded, I’m just happy to hear about your new blessing, and I’m in love. COMPOUNDED HAPPINESS!
Take Care,
Thanks Again,
Mike.

Super Congrats on the up and coming new “human” progam Dan, to you AND Mrs. Denley! And may you have MANY MORE!!! That was a double whammy announcement for sure! You do know how to sneak it in on us. That was good. Looking forward to some “snippets” from the new program. May all go well with the delivery! (uh, of the new baby I mean! LOL)

June 17th, 2008 at 10:40 pm
Hi Dan,
would certainly love to enrol in your course. I have learned so much from all your freebies but to start at the beginning and proceed in an ordered manner would be an improvement for me. I can’t believe how the internet can make so much information available. it’s mindblowing. I’ve been tinkering on a guitar for many years and had pretty much given up until I stumbled on some of your newsletters and video lessons. I now went out and bought an electric guitar and playig both acoustic and electric has become an addiction. I think it’s the coolest addiction to have.Thank you, I am truly grateful, Ozi.
June 17th, 2008 at 10:57 pm
Wow! Congradulations on the new addition to the “Amazing New Baby Secrets” series. (I wonder if you know yet what caused it…); and the new “Money on your back” guitar course. I am a little boy 82 years of age and taking up guitar for the second time. (The first time never went anywhere…) and I am still struggling with one of your freebies, the excellent finger excercises, and also the new Amazing Guitar Theory course as well, but I like to see progress.
Dan, I wonder if you have given any thought to opening an office somewhere away from home…? (Hey, Man! I was just kidding.)
And Mike, as some famous movie star once said, “In your dreams, sweetheart!”
Dan D-dot: Keep up the good work! Maybe someday I will have enough money to go first class myself!!!

Hi Dan:
Congratulations: You surely are a dedicated teacher and a tireless worker! This may be the course that I have been waiting for. I have always admired your methods, but have been a little confused about which course I should purchase. I will be looking this one very closely, since I get the impression that it covers Acoustic, Blues, Jazz and everything in between!
Wishing you much success with your latest teaching enterprise.

Hey Dan,
Just got through watching your “Behind The Scenes” takes. I haven’t paid for the “Blues Secrets” yet, but want that set. Congrats on the new baby and your courses success. Great stuff. I started playing rythym with a garage band “therapy” group a few months ago, and I love it. It is a gas making music with others, most fun I ever had.
Thanx again

Hi Dan,
Thanks for the video, nice way to explain the progressions and it makes it very simple to ajust the chords vissual on the fretboard. One thing that you could have added to it is the relation between the first and second chords in a minor scales or does it stay the same like in a major scale ?
One point to add is what is the key to improvise on any key if you play on minor or blues or major scales? What would be the first note to be played? the 7th or the 9th?
Thanks for the mails and you pump up the wil to play as it must be played,

Dan,
I just finished the preview course. GREAT STUFF. I jumped right into the Blues Progression and was just jamming on the Strat/Fender Twin Reverb. This is the course I have been waiting for. This will definitely fill a missing spot in my education. Everyone focuses on soloing - I dig Rhythm man!
Great work - sign me up.

You mean to say that “health insurance” doesn’t cover pregnancy? (can’t expect the insurance company to shell out for a pregnancy, which, of course, is always a matter of free choice — sure thing, you bet) And to think our business people here would like us to have the health care insurance system you people have… On second thought, I can see why; they wanna make out like bandits.

I know I’ve said I will purchase one of your courses but
every time I get ready to…Some monetary #!… comes up. Kinda like the
kid and the doctor. Believe me, they get more expensive. My son is 18 and I
just dropped around $300.00 today to get his car registered and insured, etc.
I swear…before I die (God willin’ and the creek don’t run dry)…I will
get one of your courses.
By the way, I find your method of teaching very relaxing and soothing to
the soul. You remind me of my beginning instructor…way back when (and no, I
won’t tell you how far back…It’s none of yer beeswax).
Nice stuff on the UGTC course coming up. I like the approach. That is/was
one of my problems. I know lots of stufffff…but just don’t know what to
do with it. I am sure that I am not alone

Thanks!

Will there be a lot of overlapping information from your other courses? I own and have been studying from:
– Amazing Guitar Secrets
– Acoustic Guitar Secrets
– Blues Guitar Secrets
– Lead Guitar Secrets
I would like to pick up Ultimate Guide to Chords but only if there is new material to learn from.
Thanks.
