Update: Martin Acoustic Contest
Our office will be closed for the week Christmas to give us time to spend with our family and friends. The three finalist for the Martin D16GT will be chosen the first week of January 2008. Voting will immediately follow. We plan to ship the guitar to the winner around Jan 15.
Cheers,
Dan Denley

WE’LL JUST WAIT!
So many good entries
So many brilliant thoughts
It’ll take a lot more time
To get all the entries in the right slots.
So many bright minds
Have come to one place
It’s quite understandable –
Music does so many thus grace.
Music brightens the mind,
It lightens the soul,
It heightens the spirit
It helps each set his goal.
We’ve said it before,
And we’ll say it again:
It’s not a goal in itself
It’s a means to an end.
So Dan’s staff has a task,
As they contemplate whom they choose
They want to choose well,
As ore the entries they peruse.
They need a time to rest as well,
They need a time to snooze.
It’s been a busy year for them.
So, we’ll just wait for them to choose.
When at last they come back
After the first of the year,
They’ll take a new look at the entries –
With minds fresh and clear.
It’s tough to decide,
Among so many good comments
Just who the three finalists should be,
And keep us in suspense—
Another week longer yet
After the first of the year
But we all patiently wait –
When Dan’s plan will be in full gear.
And, we’ll finally vote for the winner,
Well deserved the votes will be:
Proud to play that new Martin –
The D 16 GT!

Ah what creativity! I find writing very painful, hehe. Nice Job!!
I’ll be keeping my fingers, toes, eyes, and anything else I can keep crossed!

I would like to vote for the finalists but have not received any notification as to who the three finalists are. I thought they were to be determined by the first week in Jan and today is already Jan. 11.

Just wondering if I missed the voting for the contest. Been checking every day hoping to see my or my teachers name in the final three. My teacher is Amy Archer and I really hope she wins this guitar because if she wins I also win because more than 1 person will be playing the guitar. We are both so excited about this contest we went yesterday to guitar city in Peoria and found the model of the guitar you are giving away. We both played around with it and its so beautiful sounding. Very nice mellow tones came from it as we played. Thanks for giving us a chance to own such a great guitar. As I said I check every day to see if we could be one of the three fortunate finalists with a chance to win your guitar give-away. Looking forward to voting for Amy in the final vote. Besides if she wins I will probably inherit her guitar which is better than mine and my daughter will inherit my beginner guitar. So as you can see three people will benefit if you choose my guitar teacher Amy Archer as a finalist and she wins.
