I am a struggleing musician. I believe Acoustic Guitar Secrets will help me in more then just my music but it will help me as a person. I have a one year old baby boy, and everytime i start to sing the songs i have written he sits in front of me and watches me play. I do everything i can to learn more and more about the guitar and about how to become a better singer/songwriter because it brings me and my son closer together. i've been playing a guitar i got for two dollars at a garage sell and I haven't been able to afford a nice guitar like a Martin cause i put my family before everything. Martin guitars have been and always will be my favorite guitars. The way they sound just gives me chills all throughout my body. I would be eternily greatful if i won this guitar because i am a true music lover, i am dedicated to my music, and i haven't really ever had anything nice like that before.

I would like to thank you for reading this. Even if i don't win the guitar it's nice to know that someone could take the time to read all of these just because he cares about his fans. Thank you.

Dear Dan,
I am a United States Marine deployed in Iraq at Al Asad Airbase. This is my third deployment and won't be my last. I am about to re-enlist for four more years. I am 26 years old with a family. I started playing guitar when I was 13. I was told by a officer in my squadron that Martin was giving away travel guitars; the 1/4 scale ones. He said it was a long list. I got on the Martin website and could not find a such link. Then I found this website. I have taught numerous people to play guitar but good guitars are hard to get a hold of. I don't really have much time in the states to justify buying a sweet Taylor or Martin. I have owned a few acoustics and a few electrics in the past. After I joined the Marine Corp my playing took a backslide. I could still play blues and riffs and stuff but my knack was gone. My wife bought me a no-name acoustic from a pawn shop last year while I was deployed but, it is a piece of crap. The guitars that my Marines play with here in Iraq have holes and have been repaired numerous times. My buddy, Sgt Hammond, a fellow player, has one that is glued with aircraft epoxy and the back painted with black spray paint. It has the most amazing action though. With the war going better(I can only say so much) we have a little more time on our hands. We built what we call "The Barn" inside our hangar here in Al Asad. We now have space but not the necessary equipment to play with. We have a tv and dvd player to play the lessons with. Honestly I have never heard of your guitar secrets cd's/dvd's. But I can promise you this: If we had an acoustic guitar to keep with the VMAQ-1 Banshees while we are deployed from Cherry Point, NC. Many guitar players of all skill levels in my squadron would thank you for a very Merry Christmas. For we will be here in Iraq through the holidays. We would definetly keep you updated on our guitar learned secrets and increasingly improving riffs and progressions.

I am 75 years old. Have seen quite afew guitar instructions courses in my time. Early day books assumed quite a lot from beginners. First guitar was a Goya classical. Had to wait over 3 months to recieve it. That was 1963. Had a teacher who taught classical. He stressed that you had to sing when you first start to play guitar. I indicated was lousy singer, he indicated most of us are, but really sound worse on guitar until we begin to improve. I have had several guitars since then, but due to relocating across the country most of them were destroyed in the moves. I have always desired to have a Martin, but couldn't or wouldn't merit the cost. I realize you get what you pay for. In the late 1990, took banjo instructions and was drafted into the Wichita Banjo Band. Played rythmn with an excellent group of players. After I retires I purchased a Yahmaha accoustic, guitar and have been taking instructions from Steve Staples(co owner of International Vintage Guitar of N.O. Steve has taken a very poor player and improved me somewhat. I have purchased Learn and Master guitar, Jamorama. Both have good features, but something didn't quite ring the bell for me. Purchased your cours in late Oct 2008. Not sure why, but your method seems to push right buttons for me. Still trying to understand the major scale lesson. But given time and enough sand in my hourglass, will make it. In all fairness to Steve many of the items that your course has taught, rang the bell when I studied them. I'm sure Steve planted the thoughts, but you brought them to life. Being as I haven't every really won anything of value, not expecting to win the Martin, but surely will do it justice if I should win. I have been having trouble sending e mails to you, in reference to your on line course. Wanted to know if I needed it in addition to the Home course. Thanks for having a course that so far has made my learning easier. Keep up the good work.
