NOTE: the pdf above gives you two pages directly from the Acoustic Guitar Secrets book. However, because we had to shorten the video for the web, only Figure 97 (Basic Fingerpicking Pattern, Ex. 1) and Figure 110 (Fingerpicking pattern: Descending, Ex. 1). You should definately play the other examples on your own!

One thing I really like about Dans style of teaching is he uses the proper names for the guitar parts. In this particular video he refers to the rosette when showing where and how to position your fingers.

For some reason the video will not play. When I press the start or play, and let go of the mouse, “stopped” comes up. It will not even begin.

Excellent i would really interested for finger picking
style. Unfortunetly i couldnt buy ur vedio at this stage
since iam student ? any way iam getting ur mails every day and sample lessons iam practicing every day. its a great help becos Sri lanka no facilitate for lerning guitar.

I’m total beginner and without a ear.I’m having problems with the chords G and C, Am7 and Em and where to put my hand on the left. I’m write both so I mostly do on the right when I try to play guitar. I’m having major problems.

I believe your acoustic lessons are very helpful in learning finger picking. Your knowledge and teaching style are conducive to my style of learning. I am busy with the lessons in your Lead Guitar Secrets course. Otherwise, I would order this set of lessons. I do not want to have so much information coming at me at one time that I am unable to devote the time and attention necessary to learn everyting I need to in your other lessons.
In addition, the video plays hesitantly on my computer in this online lesson. I’ve experienced this with other email type guitar lesson videos. I’m not sure if it’s my buffering system or if there is another issue causing the hesitation in the videos.

i love it. This would surely develop me in plucking the strings coz i’m having big problems on it. Before, i try to used the pick to pluck the guitar strings. it was very difficult.
Sir Dan can you make it in a bigger PDF? still in two pages. something like 6 inches x 6 inches in dimension.
