Enter To Win The Fender Strat Here:
Hey folks,
I’ve decided to change the contest a little bit. The difference is this:
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO BUY MY COURSE TO ENTER THE CONTEST!
Instructions To Enter The Contest:
1) Read the information below about the new version of the guitar-course, then…
2) Post your comment (click the blue “Post A Comment” link at the bottom of the page) and tell everyone exactly WHY you need this course and HOW you think it will improve your guitar playing (”I would learn all the major and minor scales, how to play barre chords, how to count rhythmic patterns, etc.)
I’ll get some of my friends to read all the entries and help me narrow it down three really good ones. Then you will vote for your favorite entry! (I’ll let you know exactly how to vote later.) The winner will be annouced here on the blog sometime during the week of June 12th.
Obviously, this is not a “random” contest. The three finalists will be choosen based on how well you answer the *why* and *how* questions (listed above). So, take your time when you’re posting your comment.
Note: Make sure you sign your comment with your first and last name. (You do not need to post your email address).
Here’s a “spy photo” of the course…

(Amazing Guitar Secrets, gold edition, physical version shown above)
Here’s just a few of things that you’ll learn…
- Major chord forms, CAGED and barre chords
- Finger strength and training for speed and accuracy
- How to identify notes on the fretboard
- How to play scales: minor scale, minor, harmonic minor, melodic minor, pentatonics
- How to play 7th chords: major, minor, dominant, minor-major
- How to use all seven modes:
- Solo techniques: bends, vibrato, hammer owns, pull offs, tapping
Also there are going to be some “amazing” time-sensitive bonuses for the first few people who order… I haven’t nailed them all down just yet. But I do know that the first 10 people who order are going to get a 1-hour, lesson with me, personally (over the telephone).
And there’s about three or four additional “fast-mover” bonuses… Some, I’ve never offered before! I’ll let you know more details as we get closer to June 1.
So, go ahead and tell us why you need this new course and how you think it will improve your playing by posting your comment below.
Cheers!

Hi Dan
To attain full potential as a musician, finding a fine tutor would be the required route to ensue for any aspirant guitarist wishing to make great music. My desire is to express myself on the guitar by inventing new melodies and learning how to incorporate these with creative rhythmic ideas into a song. I expect to improve my playing by quickly learning about the interrelationship between scales and improvisational techniques.
I require a course that could inspire me to improve my future playing so that I can reach my musical astral plane.
To further enhance the experience:-
It would really make my day,
If through your course I would learn to play,
I would really progress far,
Once I’m declared the eventual winner,
Of that superb Fender Stratocaster
Thank you for this opportunity to voice my feelings.

My name is Steve Pettit, and I am learning guitar very late in life (33). However, unlike a lot of the other posts, I am not trying to become a god. There is only one God and to be honest I really want to learn to play to glorify Him. My church does not have a guiatarist and I think I have a natural talent for guitar that God has given me, but I cannot tap into that talent without proper instruction. People are probably reading this and saying “Great a Jesus Freak!” Well, yeah. Calling me a Jesus freak isthe ultimate compliment. I have only been playing for about 3 1/2 months, but I am able to play rhythm fairly smoothly with all of the most commonly used chords, but what I really need to learn is how chords relate to one another so I can write my own music one day; learn scales in all keys and know which key I am in and be able to pick the right scale to solo with. Anyway, I am sure that you will get hundreds of “I want to be a Rock, Guitar, Blues, Heavy Metal, Solo, etc. god” from young guys wanting to play mainly to impress girls (not too bad of a reason for a young single guy) or with hoop dreams of “making it big.” I just want to be able to play music for me, my church, and of course pass it on to my children. I have three children, so if you want to leave a legacy through your instruction and free guitar, PICK ME. I promise you that your instruction WILL be passed on to my children and hopefully they will pass that love of music to their own and so on. I am probably too late for this, but it sure would be a great blessing to me, my church, and my family.

Hi, My name is Ethan Chen, I had already purchased the course and received the delivery a week ago.
I just have to admit it that from the beginning it was just a dream of being a fantastic guitarist whom can compose songs and music on stage, imagine live soloing. I got even more inspired after I submitted myself to CHRIST about a year plus ago when I saw my fellow brothers of christ played. That is when my little music sparkle of fire got litted up.
I started by buying my first guitar, attended few courses and source from the internet. Indeed, I did learnt a few chords progression and that’s how far I could go. I felt discouraged when participated in my Church Cell Group and not able to catch up. I did wanted to give up and also being too eager for success. I totally forgot the true meaning of worship.
After I attended a worship seminar by Vivien Hibbert, she impressed on me for not giving up where I started. And from then on I had not stop sourcing for resources to help me improve and I had found this blog by Dan Denley. Honestly, I am an IT person and am skeptical bout purchasing stuff online, but for some reason I go by faith and purchase the course.
I had been practicing every day since last week, the progress is good and am pickup finger strength and confident when playing. I wouldn’t know where I will end up with with this course but I will stay focus and hopefully the course will bring me to the next level. God bless you Dan for you have the gift and I hope you will you this gift to bless others.
Ethan

First of all, if your on this site you are most likely very serious and maybe even a bit fanatical (I certainly am)when its comes to playing quitar. More importantly is the dynamics of learning to play the guitar. I started many years ago and have litterly been “all over the map” yet my playing abilities do not reflect that effort. My review of this course is showing 2 important factors to correct and improve my love for being an instrumentalist. One is the obvious concern of the author and another is the organaztion of the format. A succeful path for any type of guitar in any type of style.
Thank You

I am driven from much different reasons that it seems from the rest. My heart is attached to the blues but to be honest after my divorce music became one of the links between my sons and I. My son’s are the most important thing in my life. I have learned video games, read ALL of RA Salvator and if I learned the blues it could be something I could teach my sons that would go with them all of their lives. Sounds corny but that’s it.

Jo Here.
I need the course to improve in my playing for myself and friends and to enjoy playing, without having to have the music infront of me. I can some things I know well, other things that I even enjoy I have to have the sheet music right in front of me.

Yo! I’m firzan(firzan_rules@hotmail.com) and I’m only 11 this year. I’ve always wanted to learn playing the guitar and i thought that this might be an opportunity for me to learn and to have a guitar. I’ve never held one(that’s pretty weird) and I’ve admired Ritchie Blackmore, Yngwie Malmsteen, Jimi Hendrix and loads more. Instead of admiring, i decided to give this contest a shot. Thx….

Havin’ fun, chillin Playing Guitar! Expressin’ yourself through your axe (Acoustic and/or Electric) having fun doing your self a healthy time.
I have been using AGS,BGS, and am eagerly awaiting GLS. Dan has a great way of explaining the why’s and wherefores of music; which helps me alot. But at the same time if you aren’t interested in the more Geeky Music theory part, he still shows in great detail and explaination how to ,’just do it’! if you haven’t tried Dan’s course or looked into his e-mailed video shorts, you ARE missing the boat! once you have the process you can play with it, and make the sound you want, like, need, and have more fun playing than you ever thought you could! That is what happened w/ me, some was learn the theory, some was copy cat, and then it was just Great Fun to play things and see how they sound… Clapton has nothiing to worry about from me, but I am playing for my fun, in my house, with my friends, and every day gets something new to me and different to try, and have Fun!
thanks for reading the whole thing!
I am 52 so i am not looking to tour anytime too soon! BUT with Dan’s presentation and support, and the right mind set from, it hasn’t been ruled out completely. Do yourself a favor, let Dan teach you Guitar. I’m lovin’ it! Thanks Dan

Hi Dan,
I’ve been playing acoustic guitar for a little over 2 years now but i usually play the same songs over and over.I don’t think im learning enough new material.I did have a guitar teacher but i found it very hard to afford the payments.I’ve seen many guitar courses being offered on the internet and most are to expensive or just not well presented.I know that your course will help me were i need the help.I need the course because im stuck in a rut with my playing.Scales, licks, rhythm, your course can help me improve in all these areas.Your emails alone have helped me in a a variety of ways.If i had the new “Amazing Guitar Secrets”course i would be armed with all the material i need to become a better all around guitarplayer.
