Fender Stratocaster Giveaway And Questions Answered:
Howdy, folks!
Guess what? I just stepped on the scale this morning and I’ve lost 8lbs! Just 32lbs to go. 
Anyway, June 1 is rapidly approaching for the release of new version of the Amazing Guitar Secrets course. I’ve been running around like a crazy-person lately trying to get everything in place. Because this event is a celebration of my 1-year anniversay since releasing the first version of the course, I wanted to do something really special….
I’ve decided to GIVE away an American made, Fender Stratocaster!
Yes. You heard me correctly. The first few people to order the new course will entered into a contest to win the Strat. The winner will be chosen at random. And I’ll make the announcement after the dust settles (probably the week of June 12th). Hopefully, I can get the winner to send me a picture with the new Strat so I can post it here on the blog. That would be cool!
I’ve gotten tons of questions lately about the new release. But, I’d say the #1 concern is this…
“I’ve bought several guitar courses online. They all suck. Why should I believe that yours is any different?”
Here’s the answer:
I realize there is a lot of garbage out on the internet. Eveyone makes claims like, “You can play ANYTHING you want in only 30 days!” And we all know that is bull-crap. (Actually, another word comes to mind but I’m trying to keep this G-rated.) So because of all the junk out there, people are naturally skeptical. (And should be).
Now, I want to be perfectly honest here…
When I released my course in June of 2005, I had know idea if anyone would actually buy it. And when I sold the first few copies, I used to litterally walk to my mailbox everyday wondering if all of them would get returned. Seriously. I’m not making this up. I was pretty much terrified that people would hate my stuff and return it for a refund.
But a month went by. Then two months went by. Then three, four, five months. And a funny thing happened…. Some people DID ask for their money back (and I cheerfully gave them a refund).
But roughly 98% kept my course.
And not only did they keep it. They actually used it. They practiced. They made great progress. And they shared their stories with me.
So, recently I did a customer survey. As of this writing, I’ve had 489 responses. I asked them lots of different questions. Here are two:
1) “Do you feel that the Amazing Guitar Secrets course was a good value for the money?”
95.9% said “Yes.”
2) “Would you recommend the Amazing Guitar Secrets course to a friend?”
95.7% said, “Yes.”

Lastly, I wanted to let you know that I just finished creating some new video tutorials about the pentatonic scale. I’m thinking about releasing it to everyone for free because I’d like to get your feedback. I’ll let you know more details soon.

HEY GUYS I HAVE THIS COURSE AND LET ME TELL YOU I,I STILL CANT PLAY,BUT AND I MEAN BUT..I PRACTICE USING HIS VIDS,AND WELL I CAN FOR ABOUT 1MIN..SO HEY IF AGUY FROM THE UK CAN DO IT ,WHOKNOWS SHITE ABOUT PLAYING THEN YOU GUYS WHO CAN WILL JUST STORM..GO GET IT OR JUST BE AVERAGE..

Well I used the course and I did improve. I must admit though I was a bit lazy at the start. I would recomend it though. You have to stick to the plan. I pick the guitar up daily now. Richard

just wanna say that your videos inspire me to be a better guitar player. i pick up my guitar everyday…ever since i’ve been watching your vids. i’ve been playing for longer. btw….about that strat….:D:D:D:D:D:D!!!

i wouldnt mind the strat, but i’m a poor old school dude and can’t afford it.
i do practice everyday tho.

I want to buy it, (the course) but 1: I dont have any money to buy it.
2: I dont have enough time in a day to pratice alot.
3: Whats the point if I can’t pratice?
& 4: I’m learning good enough with a free teacher that has his own band.

This course has literally 100’s of ‘lessons’, plenty of videos, and Dan is usually pretty good getting back with a specific question. If you don’t stick to a schedule and practice, no course will do you much good.
By the way, if I already purchased the course, am I eligible for the Strat?

Yeah things have been really tight, but if i get my bonus for all the hard work that i put in at my job,this dvd set is at the top of my list. And i love Strats because of their big frets and big sound. Can we get the new silver edition? I work hard and love to play just as hard!!!

Dan, I hate to rain on your parade, and I’m not going to rat you out to anyone, but when someone has to buy something to enter a contest, it’s not a giveaway, it’s a lottery, and that makes it illegal. It’s a terrific prize though. Best of luck to you.

Agree. If your course is so great then why are you making people buy the course for a chance to win a guitar? If it’s so great it will sell itself.

I must admit I’d love an(other!) Strat. Gotta be one of the most versatile guitars in the world, and easy to modify and repair!

i am a student from singapore i am just 13 i cannot afford the course though i really want to learn
i also want the fender guitar, but i can’t afford the course =(
i hope you can have some more free lessons to those people who really wanna learn (like me). simple basics would do cos i notice most of the lessons and tips (some) are a bit advanced so maybe you like to touch on both basic n advanced

Hey guys,
I read your comment about the “lottery.” I think you’re right. Asking people to buy the course to enter the contest might be illegal. And it could be really hard to teach guitar in an orange jump-suite form a 10×10 jail cell!
So, here’s what I’m going to do…
You can win the Strat EVEN IF you decide NOT to buy my course.

my friend boght the course and he taled me that he gaind alot of practice and he got much better out of it. now about the fender stratocaster . like the new york lotory hey you never know

I already shelled out the big bucks for the first version in hard copy, so I can’t afford to do it again, but great course none the less.

From an early age I watched my grandfather and the older family members play their guitars, fiddles and banjos at our family and friend gatherings. I yearned to be able to join them but was too young.
As I grew I struggled to teach myself to play guitar by ear. I was determined to recapture my grandfathers music I so loved from my youth.
I have not been fortunate enough to aquire any formal training. I have had my serious devotion and determination to play guitar the best I could by ear and aquired some chord knowledge along the way. I am always looking for the “Lost Chord”.
I would like to improve my guitar playing and knowledge not to be a super star, but for the enjoyment of all those lives that I now touch. .
My grandfather and my elder family members are all gone now.
I would like to enhance my knowledge of music therefore improving my guitar playing as a tribute to the ones who inspired me and for the young children I now inspire.

Learnign to play the guitar without some sort of professional guidance is difficult. There are too many courses out there that tell you you’ll be playing like Page, Santana, Hendrix and SRV in a month. And we all know that is bull. I’m 42 years old and have dreamed of playing the guitar. But with kids and work, I never got the opportunity. I picked up a used Aria Pro guitar and the local pawn shop for a $100 to begin with, it’s nothing spectacular, but it gets the job done. I am still without an amp, but that’s ok. Now that I have the time, your course has given me the tools needed to begin learing the guitar correctly and easily. Since I have began using your couse, I have learned, Wish you were here by Pink Floyd, and am currently working on the Europa Solo by Carlos Santa. I am progressing much quicker than I had anticipated. Your couse has made learning the guitar easy and quite fun. Thanks!
