Dear Dan,
I am day away from being fifteen years old. Ive been interested in your course for a very long time, I would love to have your course but, Im too young to work and I just simply cant raise that kind of money. Ive played in Worship bands and Jazz Bands at my school.Ive learned alot on my own and with the lessons Ive taken but I cant seem to take my ideas and make them into music. I can play sheet music and tab fairly well and can learn artists’ songs But I cant seem to write my own. I have plenty of ideas and melodys in my head but I cant seem to make them sing on my guitar. Ive looked at several courses to try to find something to help me, I believe your course can help me. I would like your course because it can open so many doors for me in my playing that I havent been able to open before.

Your course sounds great! I would love to have your course. If I had the money, I would be ordering it and not even trying to win it. I’m not a very good player at all, but I love to relax playing it. I started to play about 15 years ago. I was a vocalist in a rock band, and the guitar players showed me what I know today (which is not much). The band broke up and I moved on and got married. I adoped my husband’s 3 sons. Then we had twins 3 months early. The girl were born under two pounds each. The following day Gabrielle died. Lauren has had 7 surgeries, 4 cardiac arrests, and 15 hospitalizations (ranging from 4 days to 5 months). She is 4 years old now with severe Cerebral Palsy. Even though the Dr’s said that she would never walk and talk, she is running and talking. I also have a 15 month old daughter who has been diagnosed with a mild cerebral palsy.
I am a part time college student pursuing my teaching degree which will take another 4 years and also my sons Boy Scout Leader.
I would use this course for my relaxation at the end of my days, play for the girls (they love to dance to the 1 song that do know), and get good enough to play at Boy Scout campfires.

I’m am intermediate level guitarist and I give free lessons to disadvantaged youth. I’ve never been formally trained and I’m having a hard time putting structure into my lessons. I’d like to learn from your course so I can pass it along.

Dear Dan,
I would love to have a copy of your course i feel I could learn those “missing pieces” that would greatly improve my guitar playing. I am pushing 50 years old and have been playing for two years. I had been in the music business as a vocalist when I was a kid and loved it but couldn’t make money at it. Two years ago my goal was to learn enough to play copies on a CD that I could pass on to my kids (sort of a remembrance) but fell in love with the instrument. I practice finger exercises and cords I’ve learned from Tabs in Magazines but nothing structured, and that gets me frustrated. I have scanned some courses at the book store and purchased what I thought were good interesting books but have felt there was a shortfall. I like your newsletter and I am interested on mostly all the topics you have discussed, especially with songwriting. My future goals are to improve in this area and sell songs, jingles or perform my own songs live. ( I’ve written some simple songs that have been well received mainly for the story they tell (at my age I have a lot of stories). Money’s been tight but your course may be the catalyst I need to get more immersed in the music business. I have spent the last 20 years in the retail business and would love to transition my career into something I love to do. My main goal is to be known by my peers and others as a really good professional player. That in itself will create several opportunities. I realize that such a goal for someone my age may seem crazy but I am a realist, I have known several very talented musicians that didn’t make it in this business. I have also learned from their mistakes, that discipline and commitment can’t be taken for granted. All I need is structure, which is where your course comes in.
Dan you truly are a genius using your training and skills to create this course and I am so impressed with your down to earth newsletters, no BS. You really present a caring message to the masses. I wish you much success.

Dan, I am writing you this response to thank you for the free lessons you emailed and tell you that they were really helpful. I am 43 years young…HA…HA…and have always wanted to learn to play the guitar. I have friends that play the guitar and they have always told me that I should pursue my dream. I have finally taken that step forward and I must say that I wish I had taken it much sooner…but later is better than never…right? I really feel that your course would be the jumpstart I need to get my playing off the ground and rolling great! I would love to become good enough to be able to play in a band and share my music with others. My girlfirend and friends tell me that I have alot of natural talent and I am starting to see that maybe there is some truth in that. I would love to learn how to compose my own songs and your course, again….would be the perfect tool to apply to that dream! I know there are alot of others out there that could use your course just as much as me, but I am here to give my reasons for wanting to win the contest and get your course as a prize! I have alot of drive and pratice as much as my job allows me to (usually a few hours a day during the weekend and some time during the normal week.) I do have alot of drive and ambition to learn this instrument and I will master it in due time..your course would just be a extra bonus to enhance that process! Great stuff Dan, really nice work! This country we live in makes all this possible and for us all to be able to make our dreams a reality, all we have to do is reach high and work hard to get there!
