Hey folks!
We’re getting closer to releasing Ultimate Guide To Chords and things are really starting to heat up around here. I just need to clarify a couple of things:
- We are not accepting pre-orders at this time. We’ve gotten several calls/emails about this. We’re just not set up to handle orders for this product right now. In fact, we don’t even have the product in stock yet! But, we may do this like a day or two before the “official” release. I’m not sure. Let me know your thoughts. (Post below).
- Yes. There will be manual that gives you all the tab, chords, etc. It’s just not shown in the spy photo because I’m not finished with it yet.
Here are 2 videos from the DVD 1 of the Ultimate Guide To Chords. I watched these before we made this post. And I realized that unless you understand the roman numeral system (RNS), some of this isn’t going to make a lot of sense. I go over RNS in great detail in the course. But, in these videos I already assume you know how it works.
Anyway, I think you’ll still be able to benefit from these videos. But I’ll try to give you a more detailed video about how it works a little later. Go check out these videos and let me know if you have any questions by posting your comments below.
Cheers,
Dan Denley

Hey folks,
Well, yesterday I *finally* did it. I got in my car and drove to FedEx and put 12 master disks in the mail to my DVD/CD replication company. Man, what a relief! I’ve been secretly working on this project for a LONG time now. And yesterday, I officially got the money off my back. It’s finished!
This is my biggest course yet: 8 DVDs, 2 Audio CDs and 2 CD-ROMs. It’s HUGE. There’s about 10 hours of total video and 43 full-band jam tracks (recorded with live instruments).

The entire course is dedicated to CHORDS and how to use them in your songs, riffs and licks. I’m calling it
the “Ultimate Guide To Chords.”
It’s going to be released next month. Not sure exactly when. My wife is due the 3rd week of July. So, unfortunately, I’ll have to work around the baby’s schedule.
Here’s a picture of the new course. (Obviously, these are the masters, so there’s no artwork… but there will be!)
The only thing missing from the picture is the workbook. Still working on it.
We’re going to be sharing a TON of video lessons form the course. Look for the first one very soon.
Please post your comments below!
Cheers!

Hi Folks,
Here’s a POWERFUL, 14 minute video that’s crammed with incredible info about guitar CHORDS. In this video you’ll discover:
- How chords are related to scales…
- Why some chords are maj, minor, dom, etc.
- What guitarists mean when they say… “two
chord” or “five chord” etc.
- Which chords come from the major scale
- The difference between a triad and a 7th
chord…
…and a LOT more.
You can watch the acoustic guitar chords video here, right now.
Cheers,
Dan Denley

Hi Folks,
Everybody seemed to REALLY liked the acoustic blues fingerpicking song that I released from DVD 5 of my new Acoustic Guitar Secrets course. So, I thought I give you another one from the same section on the DVD.
This song is called, “Dusty Blues.” It’s a simple 12-bar blues that uses a shuffle rhythm. Generally, this means that you’d have an triplet feel, with a quarter note followed by an eighth. (This will make more sense when you hear it).
I teach this song on DVD 5 of my course, which is a comprehensive study of acoustic guitar that I released, Dec 2007. The course is made up a 5 DVDs, 2 audio CDs and a 200 pg book.
- DVD 1: Basic techniques, stringing, tuning, selecting the right guitar, basic chords, counting rhythms
- DVD 2: Strumming patterns, barre chords
- DVD 3: Chord progressions, fills, embellishment, 5 chords
- DVD 4: Arpeggios & fingerstyle
- DVD 5: Survey of styles: Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Jazz, Latin
It’s a huge course and it’s definitely one of my best so far. It has one of the lowest return rates of any of my courses and the customer feedback has been astonishing. The next 1000 copies will be made available to public on Friday, March 14, 2008 at 11:00AM Eastern here.

Wow. I’m TOTALLY humbled. The feedback about my Acoustic Guitar Secrets course has been incredible. And I’ve been totally blown away by the feedback I’ve received. All I can say is, “Thank you!” Thank you sooooo much to everyone who made this course one of my most successful to date. I sincerely appreciate the trust you have placed in me as an instructor. It’s truly humbling.
Here’s what people are saying about Dan Denley’s Acoustic Guitar Secrets course:

Hi Dan,I cannot tell you enough how much Acoustic Guitar Secrets has helped me. I am a mostly self taught player of about 2 years. As soon as I started using the DVDs so many things I had been trying to learn seemed to come together, especially the chord progressions. You are the teacher I have spent years looking for and I am so happy that I have Acoustic, Blues and now your new lessons to keep my learning going. I really look forward to your new material. Now every time I pick up my guitar I am excited about the new things I will learn with your courses. Thanks again and keep it coming,
Laura K.

Dan,
Where do I start to thank you for your courses? I have all of them, and love them. It is like having a private tutor, that never gets tired of anwsering questions. Everytime I watch one, I learn something new, even if I have seen the DVD before(numerous times). Acoustic has given me some opportunities to see, hear and learn new progessions, and different Strumming patterns. That alone has boosted my playing; being able to play the same or similaar Progressions with different strumming patterns creates different songs. I am pretty mechanical in my learning process; and your presentations have given me an opening to creativity I haven’t had in the past simply by showing me new understandings of ways to experiment.
I could go on but you ask for a short message…
Thanks again.
