Here's What Guitarists Are Saying about Acoustic Guitar Secrets
"You're The Teacher I've Spent Years Looking For"
Hi Dan,
I can't tell you enough how much Acoustic Guitar Secrets has helped me. I've mostly taught myself for about 2 years.
As soon as I started using your DVDs, so many things I'd been trying to learn seemed to come together, especially the chord progressions. You're the teacher I've spent years looking for, and I'm so happy that I have Acoustic, Blues, and now your new lessons to keep my learning going.
I really look forward to your new material. Now every time I pick up my guitar I'm excited about the new things I will learn with your courses.
Thanks again and keep it coming,

"It's Like Having A Private Tutor Who Never Gets Tired Of Anwsering Questions"
Dan,
Where do I start to thank you for your courses? I have all of them, and I love them. It's like having a private tutor who never gets tired of anwsering questions. Everytime I watch one, I learn something new, even if I have seen the DVD before (numerous times).
Acoustic Guitar Secrets has given me some opportunities to see, hear, and learn new progessions and different Strumming patterns. This alone has boosted my playing; I'm able to play the same, or similar, progressions with different strumming patterns and create different songs.
I'm pretty mechanical in my learning process, and your presentations have given me an opening to a creativity I haven't had in the past simply by showing me new understandings of ways to experiment. I could go on but you asked for a short message...
Thanks again.

"These Techniques Will Make Your Playing Sound, Look, And Feel Very Professional"
Wow. Where do I start? I had purchased Dan's Amazing Blues Secrets originally and learned some great blues basics. I memorized the Pentatonic scales and I think I could do them when I am asleep :) Anyway, I have this wonderful Martin guitar my wife bought me, and I was just not getting the hang of basic strumming techniques or chord progressions.
This was happening mostly because the lessons I was taking thus far were more focused on scales and soloing. This left a huge gap in my development. Then along comes Dan's Acoustic Guitar Secrets Course, and I think I was one of the first to order. At first I was greatly challenged.
I had to keep rhythm while changing chords etc. But with practice and the ability to see the demo over and over again, I started to get it. I found the production value to be higher than the original Blues series, and I liked the double camera shots. These helped me focus on both hands.
It's now almost March, and I'm finishing up the last of the course, the Jazz style. I've decided to take my time with this part, as it is challenging, but highly rewarding. In the process I've learned fingerpicking. This now has become my favorite style, but I think what really sets my playing off now are chord embellishment and chord fills. These techniques will make your playing sound, look, and feel very professional.
In the short time that I have had this course I can confidently say that my playing went from that of a beginner to an intermediate-level player, and in some cases a high-intermediate level player. Playing is not yet effortless for me, but hey, I only picked up a guitar for the first time in 49 years last June. :)

"I Am Extremely Grateful To Have This Opportunity And Highly Recommend The "Acoustic Guitar Secrets" Course, As Well As All His Courses."
I have toyed with the guitar for a while now, playing by ear, and concentrating in Flamenco. Yet, I had no prior knowledge of chord progressions, modes, etc. I was fortunate enough to come across Dan Denleys "Amazing Guitar Secrets Course".
From there I went to his Lead, Blues and now Acoustic Guitar Secrets Courses. Since taking those courses, I have learned to interpret the scales, modes, chord progressions, etc. to levels that would have taken years to learn, let alone master.
I am extremely grateful to have this opportunity and highly recommend the "Acoustic Guitar Secrets" Course, as well as all his courses. Believe me they are well worth the investment.

"I Feel Like You're Right Here In The Room Teaching Me"
Hi Dan,
I was so happy when you came out with your Acoustic Guitar Secrets Course. I have learned so much in a very short time. I feel like you're right here in the room teaching me. My husband has played for 50 years, and he can't believe all the material and information you have in this course. I am really strumming much better now.
I can play many new songs. I still have trouble with bar chords. I just can't get clear sounding notes. I really want to thank you for showing me how to string my guitar on DVD 1. I have confidence now to do this on my own. Thanks, Dan, and keep up the good work.

"I Learned More In Just One Sitting Than I Have In The Last 5 Years"

"...Simple, But It Contains Cool-Sounding Progressions And Strumming Patterns Which You Can Learn Quickly"
This course is easy to follow. It is simple, but it contains cool-sounding progressions and strumming patterns which you can learn quickly. It's well explained. Dan has also worked hard to ensure you feel supported by providing internet access to additional help.

"Your Course Is At The Top!"
Dear Dan, I really love your course. There are so many programs out there
that claim all kinds of stuff, but yours top them all! I never did buy any
programs for a long time. But, I would read your e-mails and I would do the
guitar exercises. Then, "boom!" you came out with this wonderful Acoustic
program. So, I thought I try it...
I've been trying to learn to play the guitar on and off for about 5 years. I
used to go to my lessons and bring my 2 year old son. Try to have a lesson
with a two year old running all over the place throwing down chairs and
screaming! So I gave up...
But three kids and a dog later, I decided to pick up my guitar again. Now I
love to practice every day in the privacy of my own home. The dual-shot
video in the DVDs makes it easy to learn. I have improved on my strumming
and I love the songs. It is like having my own personal instructor in my
home.
Thanks a bunch!

"Who Would Think That A Simple Chord Progression Could Sound So Good!!"
Dan,
I pestered you and Lisa forever, awaiting the release of Acoustic Guitar Secrets! It has certainly paid off, because many of the "loose ends" have been coming together. The strumming patterns and the chord progressions have been very helpful. Who would think that a simple chord progression could sound so good!!
Thanks Dan!

"All Of Dan's Courses Are Excellent, But Acoustic Guitar Secrets, At The Present Time, Is Most Important. "
I've learned many new acoustic chords. For example, I like Neil Young's music, and Acoustic Guitar Secrets helped me to understand his acoustic songs. I have completed my knowledge of fingerpicking. I already knew a little about classical fingerpicking. All of Dan's courses are excellent, but Acoustic Guitar Secrets, at the present time, is most important.

"We Have Moved Up To A Higher Level"
Hi Dan,
I strum with a local folk group, but I always felt the need for improvement. This is why I invested in your course. I soon learned I can use certain 3/4 and 6/8 patterns, with slight modifications, to inhance our music. I practiced at home using a tape recorder, as did the rest of the group.
I then started using bar chords and 6ths, etc. I can also now transpose into any key that the singer requests. We have moved up to a higher level. Dan, your course is great, and I have only scratched the surface.
Sincerely,
George

"My Playing Has Taken Giant Leaps"
Hi Dan,
I've been using Acoustic Guitar Secrets since Christmas, and my playing has taken giant leaps. The strumming patterns on DVD 2 were very helpful. I'm now working to improve my finger-picking with DVD 4. At this rate I will be playing in my local blues pub in no time at all. I will give a progress report in a few months.

"Thanks To You And Your Easy-To-Follow Instruction, I've Been Able To Start Using A Lot More Of The Chords In Songs That I've Been Missing"
Hi Dan,
Thank you for your Acoustic Guitar Secrets course. I use to play just major chords and 7ths, and that was all I ever thought I needed, until now. Thanks to you and your easy-to-follow instruction, I've been able to start using a lot more of the chords in songs that I've been missing.
I've also been practicing barre chords more, though I'm having a bit of trouble with them. It's easier than having to use a capo all the time. I'm looking forward to getting into finger style picking, but for now I am just trying to explore the fretboard in a whole new light.

"I've Even Received A Few Complimentary Comments...I Can Honestly Say It's All Because Of You, Dan"
I picked up a guitar for the first time just over 12 months ago when I was approaching my 50th birthday. After messing around informally for several weeks, I came across your Amazing Guitar Secrets Course. I bought the course and have since bought Blues Guitar Secrets, Lead Guitar Secrets, and finally Acoustic Guitar Secrets.
All of the courses are quite superb, and I find I can work well by working through each of them at different times, up to 2 hours per day.
What makes the Acoustic course particularly good is the method you employ showing both the left and right hands. This has made it so much easier to pick up the techniques that you teach. The strumming patterns and finger-picking are particularly useful.
I have just finished working through DVD number 2, and I'm able to play all of the songs 'reasonably' well. I've even received a few complimentary comments. I will keep working through the courses knowing that I'll continue to improve. I can honestly say it is all because of you Dan. Thank you so much for what you have brought to me and,no doubt, to so many others. Keep up the great work.

"I Am Progressing Quite Well. Thanks, Dan, This Is A Great Course."
I purchased Acoustic Guitar Secrets to accompany my Lead Guitar Secrets course when my girlfriend bought me an electronic acoustic guitar for my birthday. It's working great, as I've been progressing well with the Lead Guitar Secrets course.
I also slip in some Acoustic Guitar Secrets special features on skill training, and it's working great. I have found both courses easy to follow, and I am progressing quite well. Thanks, Dan, this is a great course.

"Have I Improved Since Working With Acoustic Guitar Secrets? People Constantly Asking Me To Play Answers That."
I decided to take up guitar a couple of years ago, as I’ve always been interested in finger style. So I bought a book and suffered like all beginners with ‘sore fingertip’ syndrome. I learned some patterns and applied them to songs - great. I’ve come along, but then I ran into stumbling blocks as I didn’t take lessons, therefore I didn’t have the luxury of seeing or hearing to improve or capture. I became frustrated down the line.
I felt I wasn’t progressing. I was playing basic chords, but I lacked direction and a strategy on where to go next. I picked up a couple of videos on learning finger style, but I was disappointed. The videos only taught how to play a song. I didn’t want to learn how to play a song, I wanted to learn how to play guitar! In my search for direction, I stumbled across Dan’s course. After reviewing the course syllabus I decided to order it. Well, its exactly what I’ve been looking for.
The course is not some big show, but rather a person just being himself who is genuinely interested in sharing his knowledge for helping others. It's nice to see that Dan didn’t edit out mistakes he made while playing, but rather just starts over. It shows the human side, and that we all make mistakes, no matter how good we may be. Now I’m learning the guitar neck, new strumming patterns, finger style techniques, strength with scales, etc. Best of all, I can follow along with Dan on his videos, so I know that my sound and technique is somewhat close - the rest is up to me to practice.
All the little hints and tips are just a bonus. There's so much to cover in the course, it'll keep me occupied for some time. Have I improved since working with Dan's course? People constantly asking me to play answers that.
All I can say is: Thanks Dan for the instruction & direction. You restored my motivation and enthusiasm. Now all I need is for you to come out with a video to teach me how to sing!!!

"I Would Like To Recommend This Course To Others... It's Lots Of Fun And Very Interesting"
Hi Dan and Lisa,
Here is just a short note to thank you for your Acoustic Guitar Secrets course. I have been playing acoustic guitar for over 50 years, and I thought I knew a lot. After purchasing your course, I found out their was so much I was missing. I especially enjoyed the parts on fingerpicking and jazz chords. Also the different strumming patterns you teach are great. I would like to recommend this course to other seniors. It's lots of fun and very interesting, and it helps fill your day. Thanks again and keep up the great work.

"It Makes Me Want To Practice, To Become Better, And I'm Not Afraid To Tackle Songs Now That I Would've Shunned Months Ago."
Hi Dan,
I have to say I've been impressed with what I've seen in your Acoustic Guitar Secrets program. The materials are great and well packaged. I've been self-taught for more than a half dozen lessons I took at the age of 9. I have a deep background in music and singing, and I play beyond a beginner's ability. But I have learned a lot, even from disc one. The second DVD has shown me bar chords and strumming patterns I never could've learned on my own.
The chord progressions you teach are excellent. The lessons make me THINK about the learning process, and I've gained a great deal of understanding towards "reading" the music patterns in the manual. It makes me want to practice, to become better, and I'm not afraid to tackle songs now that I would've shunned months ago. This is a GREAT program, and I'm looking forward to continuing the learning process.
BIG THANKS!!

"I Wish I Had Purchased Your Books 5 Years Ago"
Hi Dan
I have purchased Acoustic Guitar Secrets and Lead Guitar Secrets.
I have enjoyed both and having the booklet to go along with the CD's is
excellent. I still have guitar lessons each fortnight, and my guitar
teacher was amazed at how good the books were. He is a professional teacher
and musician.
I have a Martin D28 (what a dream machine), so I am dedicated to learn all I
can. I have been playing for 5 years and pick up my Martin or Gibson
(electric) every day.
I'm not just saying this, but I wish I had purchased your books 5 years ago. I
have mastered 30 out of the 40 lead riffs. Some you like better than
others.
I now insert a riff before a song just to change it to what I like.
Too many people worry about the small cost. Remember price is soon forgotten,
but the quality remains. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Keep on pickin.

"... love your stuff..."
Hi Dan, I am having a great time with your new Acoustic Guitar Secrets course. I have some of your other courses but this one got me doing things really fast. It seems very practical. I have enjoyed maching you strumming examples with my limited ability. Yes I am old but a newby at guitar. Some examples I find quite challenging but that's what it is about! Growth. I wish I could dedicate more time but 10 minutes per day seems to be working for me. Anyway ... love your stuff... keep up the great work. Mark

"I am really enjoying learning from your program.."
Hi DAN,, I do not know if I can be of any help to you in stating I have been successful with your course just yet because I am still virtually a beginner..I have had your video course for about 2 months now and I still use it every night when I get home and at present I can play about the first half of the first video,so you could probably call that a success learning new chords and new strumming ideas, but I still class myself as a new learner....I am 67 years of age and have been interested in acoustic guitar for years but have never been able to get lessons as we have no one who can teach where I live...
I was searching the net one day for lessons and I found Steve Krenz's program and the next day found yours so I purchased both because I love finger picking playing, and I like the service you give to your members...and I am really enjoying learning from your program...I have been playing the piano-accordian for years and still do every now and again ,but now I have a new challenge e...

"I highly recommend this course to all"
Hi, Just wanted to say how much i'm enjoying acoustic Guitar Secrets. Just working through DVD 2 at this stage. Working on the Barre Chords at the moment. Taking it slow and making sure I know everything before I move on. I practice every day and improved out of sight with Chords, strumming and one of my fears, counting. Actually everything has improved.
My confidence has got a lot better and i'm not afraid to play in front of people. I have a long way to to go before I finish. I'm also working Lead guitar secrets as well. Which is fantastic! Overall, I've waited 30 years to pick up the guitar again. Now I can't stop. It's my best friend, apart from my wife. Thank you Dan for providing such a excellent tool for any player beginner or advanced. I highly recommend this course to all.

"My playing and understanding has improved..."
I've just subscribed for my third Dan Denley guitar course. My playing and understanding has improved with each lesson and my level of interest is increasing as I acquire more knowledge.
I can pick up my guitar and play Dan on any one of the five the Acoustic Guitar Secrets DVDs and learn something new every time that I can find the time to watch. I haven't even had a chance to play the Audio CDs yet, but I'm sure that there will be hours of pleasure and challenges when I do.

Hello Dan, I would like to state that Acoustic Guitar Secrets has really hit the right buttons for me. As an older man, my powers of concentration are not the best, however, I have been amazed at the ease and speed with which I have been able to absorb your simple, yet comprehensive, instruction. Thanks and the best of luck to you. Brian Clarkson.

"Since I've begun the course, I have learned so many new chords and different ways to play chords that I already knew. "
I have completely enjoyed my Acoustic Guitar Secrets course. It will be hard to express just how much I've enjoyed and gotten out of this course, but I'll give it my best to explain. Sorry if I get too long winded, but it would be hard to sum up all the advantages of owning such an amazing course as this! Even though I've only had it a couple of months, I have learned so much in such a short amount of time.
It's the kind of course that I can skip around to whatever my interest is for that day. If I feel like jamming, then I can go to the first part of the book. If I feel like playing quietly, I can work on the fingerpicking and arpeggio styles of the book. Since I've begun the course, I have learned so many new chords and different ways to play chords that I already knew.
In the past, I had avoided barre chords, because I never thought my fingers could make the chord sound rich and full. However, with Dan's Acoustic course, I'm making barre chords that I never thought I could a...

"I am amazed with your courses"
Hi Dan, I am amazed with your courses, especially the Acoustic Guitar Secrets. I have been playing and collecting guitars for thirty years and I am one of those people that just can't play.I learned a few chords, the guitar comes out for a couple of weeks and in the closets for four months or so. I have tried to learn from quite a few teachers through out the years but by far you are one of the best. I now pick up one of my guitars every day for at least an hour or so.
I love playing my acoustic guitars the best because you have to work at it to sound good. In your Acoustic Guitar Secrets course you start out with the basic chords than progress into strumming patterns.I am hanging out in DVD#2, in the Dominant 7th and 9th chords, great stuff. All my close friends have noticed my improved guitar playing. Great price on the course, what a bargain. I can't wait to play everyday so it is well worth it. Thanks again Dan. Thomas Bunting
